Elemental cost estimates based on more detailed design information using cost data from our own database of similar projects.
Procurement
Advise Client on the most suitable procurement method for the project, e.g. traditional single stage selective, design and build.
Tender Documentation
Detailed elemental based Schedule of Work with accurate quantities, issued to tendering contractors with the Architects/ Engineers drawings and specifications for pricing.
Building Contracts & Contractor Selection
Advise Client of the most appropriate Form of Contract to use and suggest, along with the Architect, a shortlist of Contractors suitable to tender for the work.
Tender Evaluation & Reporting
Evaluation and comparison of contractor's tenders to determine the best value and preferable tender. Compare the lowest tender with the final cost plan and issue of Tender Report with our recommendation to the Client.
Value Engineering
Attend necessary VE meetings with the design team should the need arise, in order to reduce the cost of the project by making adjustments to the design without having any undue affect on quality.
Valuations & Final Account
Value ongoing construction work at regular intervals and issue interim certificates for payment accordingly. Negotiate and agree the final account with the Contractor by agreeing all contract variations issued by the Architect, remeasured sections of work, dayworks etc and claims for prolongation and loss and expense.
Cost Management
During construction provide cost control measures through the production of regular financial statements which report costed variations to the project, expending of provisional sums, remeasures of provisional sections.
